You’re in control
Your account and your memories are yours. You can close your account whenever you like, and doing so permanently removes everything you’ve stored with Abeduls.
Closing your account
To close your account, open Settings, then Security, then Delete account. Once you confirm, your account is closed and your content is scheduled for permanent deletion.
A 30-day safety net
Your memories can’t be replaced, so we never delete them the instant you ask. We keep everything safe for 30 days first — enough time to undo an accidental deletion or stop someone who shouldn’t have gotten in, and the time we use to erase every last copy properly. Need something back within those 30 days? Just reach out.
Erased completely — nothing left behind
When the 30 days are up, we don’t just hide your account — we permanently erase it. Your capsules, the photos, videos, and files you uploaded, and your account details are removed from our systems and our backups alike, so no copy is left behind and it can’t be recovered.
What we may keep
We may retain a small amount of information when the law requires it — for example, basic records of payments for accounting. We keep only what we must, and only for as long as we’re required to.
